*Spoiler alert*
As we all know to whom has the Sonic Chronicles; the game ended rather abruptly, with Ivo conquering Earth as Sonic & Friends were taking down Ix.
This RPG continues on from there.
The game will start off with so many characters available (depending on how many plays), & new playable characters will be introduced as we progress.

The game be played in Turn-based format, almost like you're playing the first in the series, including POW attacks, Items & Chao.
During field-play, though, it is multiple choice.

The player you choose can have different weakness & Strengths, so choose wisely.
Though, once a new characters is playable you wish to switch, you may, but the rest of the team must agree too. If no-one can agree on whom if any switches, the new character will be place in "Checkpoint" storage until such time as you all agree.

Warning - All new Characters levels are fixed when they join our party, so they could start out lower then your current characters' level, switch wisely.

Basics:

Fighting: The turns will be based during battle, entirely on your character's speed.
Like on the prequel, you choose to "attack", "defend", use "POW moves*", use an "item", & "flee". There another two new functions, while battling; "Assist" & "Talk down".
These rules are the same as the prequel, in such terms.
Assist as using your Chao for help. Check "Chao & Chao eggs" for more information.
Talk down is attempting to contact the enemy directly to possibly; defeat, weaken, acquire information, or even befriend him/her/it. It can be sometimes be the best option for defeating the foe. It can be rather comical, too.

Health:
Put as "HP", in the game. Once your HP goes to zero, you lose a life. Once all lives are gone; GAME OVER for you.
You only start with one life. Extra life boxes are hard to find though, but worth looking for.

Leveling up:
When we start play, all players will be at Level 1 with 0 EXP. You gain EXP, thus level up; by fighting battles, completing special missions, and obtaining certain rare items. Once you level up you may earn a new skill, which level you learn a new skill, varies on character. HP may also increase.

POW moves:
POW moves a special skill moves you use. You start off with no POW moves, and may acquire them through leveling up, or special tutoring.
POW moves can also be co-operative, meaning two or more players can use them at once.
To pull either correctly, certain tasks during battle must be done.

Items & Equipment:
From health items, boots, boosters and emeralds. Many various items are able to acquire during play. Some hinder, some help, some are even essential to continue. You can buy many at stores, etc. Remember to save your rings if you're after something particular.

Chao & Chao eggs:
Those adorable little critters eggs can be found all over in hidden spots, and now and again through a special mission. Once hatched you can "bond" with them, and gain bonuses from them.
Some Chao can even attack directly, once they've bonded with you enough.

Rings:
Your form of currency. You may acquire rings; through battle, special missions, around the field, and casinos. Use them to buy items & tutor moves.
Everyone has a separate "Ring wallet" to store rings, which you can upgrade to store more.

Mission Objectives:
Your main missions to carry out and continue. Complete them to keep the game going. Many may need a certain character ability to complete.

Special Mission:
A task you find, that is askew from the main brief. Once completed, you can find certain rare items, EXP, and even a hidden character or two...

"New" Characters:
You will quite a few hidden characters along the way. Some of which long since forgotten, by certain gamers. Like I said; Once we acquire a new character, you may switch, but only if everyone else agrees.
The level of new characters are fixed until somebody starts using them, so their EXP and level could be much lower then your prior character. Switch wisely.

Current Playable Characters:

Sonic the Hedgehog; The world-renowed Blue blur that can move over 900mph at top speed (Mach 1). He's got a bit of an attitude, but all-in-all, he's everyone's hero. He comes under a "Power" class in battle, as his agility & powerful kicks, can make mincemeat from any of Eggman's robots.

Miles "Tails" Prower; Sonic's best friend & sidekick, Miles is more of a mechanic then anything else, his inventions have gotten he team out of many-a scraps. He comes under "supporter" class in battle, as he may not be very strong, but his use with technology can really aid his allies.

Knuckles the Echidna; The mighty red Echidna, who's duty is to protect the Master Emerald, which resides on Angel island. He is under a "Power" class in battle, as his fist can easily take down almost everything that comes his way.

Amy Rose; The Sonic-obsessed pink Hedgehog, with a mighty Piko-piko hammer. She is under "shifter" class in battle. With her armour-piercing Hammer slams, and confuse-inducing abilities. She can weaken the foe for an easier fight.

Espio the Chameleon; The ninja-member of Team Chaotix, his stealth and star throws are rivaled by few, but apparently...he's quite egotistical. He is under "shifter" class in battle; with quick moves, invisibility & poison-tipped weapons, easily weakening the foe.

Prologue:
The story starts off where the requel left off; At Eggmanland's entrance, as the team group round in shock at the mass of Eggman buildings.
Suddenly the alarms goes, with a vast amount of robots set to capture. The team fight hard to escape, but only Sonic, Knuckles, Amy and Miles manage to. Even Shadow's chaos abilities seemed to have little effect, as he was captured. As the four run out, vast gates close behind them, making it impossible to return at the moment.
"Now what?!" Exclaims Amy "We need to save them!"
"Dr. Eggman's dream seems to have came true..." Miles says, in a defeated manner...
"Well, he better get ready to wake up from it!" Sonic says, in rallying spirit. "Tails, do you see any opening on this gate? Eggman's toys always have a weakness. "
"Well I-..." Tails smiles, but is interrupted by spotting more swatbots patrolling the area.
"Sonic, its not safe here, we need to get to a home base..." Miles pleas.
"And I know just the place. I bet Eggman hasn't even looked there, yet." Announces Knuckles.

Later in Palace sanctuary zone; Sonic and co. finally get down to a meeting, with a map of the surrounding area, almost completely controlled by Eggman, bar a few spots, his mechs cannot reach.
"It's seems Eggman has seven seperate power-towers, each holding a Chaos emerald. We need to retrieve the emeralds & destroy the towers before having any chance of saving the others from his H.Q." Tails explains.
"Okay then, where is the nearest emerald..?" Sonic grins.
"A place Eggman has dubbed "Scrap shrine zone", where the Master emerald once sat. Though this is Knuckles home, it can take any of us by surprise." Tails answers."
"That Eggman is gonna-.." Knuckles is intterupted by the palace door opening...
"Need any assistance..?" A shadowed character says in a familiar voice, as he enters the ruins. As he step closer it is obvious who it is.
"Espio..?" Knuckles identifies...
"Long time, no see Knuckles. I've been hiding out here for about a year now, just trying find a way into Eggman's H.Q., even before Eggmans over-throw, I've been wondering how get in there..." Espio explains.
"Why?" Tails queries.
"A few years back, Team Chaotix was 5 strong. Until Eggman captured Ray and Mighty. We haven't heard from them since, and a few weeks ago, he even managed to detain Charmy & Vector. Now Team Chaotix is broken...I am unsure what to do..." Espio says, in a down-hearted tone.
"Don't worry Espio, we'll find them." Sonic says with a thumbs up.
"I believe you..." Espio calmly replies. "... ...May I join you?"
"Of course, the more the merrie.~" Amy chuckles, as the team get ready to depart for Scrap Shrine zone.

...*sigh* It seems like no-one else will join us, at the moment, so I shall probably just gets this game going, shall I..?
Others, can join us later, if they'd like...

To all players;
You are just outside the entrance to the ruins. To the left of you is a small set of step leading up to another dorr in side the ruins. Behind you, leads back to H.Q. where you just came from. In front of you is a very long set of steps, leading to the remians of Palace Santuary Zone, & to the right is a cloud only reachable by Flying and Gliding characters. What will you do?

A - Return to H.Q.
B - Continue the main objective by going straight ahead, and down the stairs.
C - Turn left and see what is behind the other door.
D - Jump on the cloud (For flying and gliders, only.)
E - Look to see if any items are nearby.

(Jya, answer the one before please, I'll tell what happens to you, as soon as you answer.)

To Wally: Miles flies onto the cloud, which instantly floats upwards, preventing anyone from taking said route and taking him to the roof of the building. Towards him, he sees a Chao egg a bit to the left on cracked ground, and a crashed Bi-plane, that could still function. What you do..?

A - Collect the Chao egg.
B - Go up ahead to see if the bi-plane still works.
C - Return down to where the others are.

(Wally, to clarify, could you please say what you're choosing..?
Though, I do understand what you're going for, it's less likely to confuse others; if you say "A, please", or "I'll go for G.", etc. in your answer, too. No offence, I just don't want anyone to get confused.)

To Wally: You walk over to collect the Chao, which you successfully do, but the ground collapses below you in the process, making you fall back to where you started at.
<Chao egg collected!> <Injury - You Lost 1 HP.>
Your options are the same as the start, except the cloud is no longer an option.

(It's alright, don't worry 'bout it.)

You enter the door, which leads to a hidden vault. A lit torch lights up the room. On the shelves is a tablet which cannot be deciphered as of yet, and some chili dogs (they recover 5HP). There is also a crack in the wall.
What will you do..?

A - Take some item(s) (say which one(s)), then leave.
B - Try to punch/hammer the wall.
C - Return from where you came, empty handed.

To Wally:
You try to punch the wall as hard as you can.
Though some dust lifts from it, the wall remains solid. Your character is too weak to break it.

A - Collect some item(s) (say which ones), then leave.
B - Leave the vault, empty hand.

You grab the Chili dogs, leaving the lit torch and stone tablet. Then proceed to return from where you came.

A - Turn round, and check out H.Q.
B - Go down the stairs, and proceed with main mission.
C - Go left, and check out the vault.
D - Give a quick look around for items.

To Wally:
You descend the steps a fair distance to the middle of the peak. You come across an abandoned airfield, you and your friends once to used before Eggman destroyed the Tornado.
Nearby is an Air-COM tower, directly ahead is more steps leading to Scrap shrine Zone. To the right of you are some metallic silhouettes gleaming in the sunset.
What will you do..?

A: Go directly ahead to Scrap shrine zone.
B: Check out the old COM tower.
C: Investigate the figures in the distance.
D: Look around for anything hidden
E: Turn back.
