It was reported last night that Mr. Iwata died from Bile Duct Growth at the age of 55.
We had known for a while that he had gone through a lot of medical procedures, but to have this happen so suddenly was just something I wasn't prepared for so early in the morning.
Mr. Iwata was responsible for some of the most enjoyable moments in my life. He wasn't really made aware of properly until about five or six years ago, but he definitely made a huge impression. What I liked about him the most was his sense of fun as well as his drive and passion for the business. It was combination you never really saw from a lot of businessmen so he felt like a breath of fresh air.
The other purpose of this thread is to share some stories about how you first heard about him and what you liked the most.
R.I.P. Mr. Iwata and a huge thank you. For everything.
