Yes. Sonic had the three Advance games, a pinball game and Sonic Battle. All Mario had were ports. | |

| No, Mario had more than those on GBA. Mario Kart Super Circuit and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. | |

| As much as I enjoy Mario (I like both Sonic and Mario games), this was an interesting article. Now that I think about it, I remember comparing Super Mario Advance to the Super NES version back in 2001. I thought it was cool to have a Super NES game on a handheld. Though I do remember playing the Sonic Advance games more than it, or in 2001, Chu Chu Rocket more. As far as ports go, Sonic Spinball was also ported to GBA in addition to Sonic 1. Except it was on a Sega Smash Pack collection where as Sonic 1 was by itself. | |

| I decided to read a bit more into the article and noticed something that, to me, sounds absolutely stupid. It's about the sequels section. I agree that Sonic 2 is better than both versions of Super Mario 2 but the calling the Japanese version a "Hard Mode" of Super Mario 1 is downright ridiculous. It's a sequel because, although it has the same graphics, designs and music, it has new level layouts and gameplay mechanics. Also, I think it's a bit unfair to call Luigi a re-coloured Mario. I know what they mean when it comes to Super Mario 1 and Japanese Mario 2 but that was due to hardware limitations. And besides, he looks different in American Mario 2 and Super Mario 3. And this argument is valid for Super Mario World as Nintendo were still getting used to 16-bit graphics. Sorry if this comment sounds a little snooty, just needed to get that one off my chest. P.S. There is an animated Mario movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBZY9i_bcO0 | |
