This is certainly worth mentioning-- Yooka-Laylee is a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, being developed by a new team of old rare developers who worked on the Banjo and DKC games.

It's on kickstarter and they reached their initial stretch goals in less than 24 hours.

This looks really promising, it's refreshing to see a colourful new 3D platformer.
