The Sonic Quiz Game (finished)

I used to read Sonic the Comics (before I couldn't find the issues anymore), so I'm taking my answer from their plot towards how Sonic became blue, and his spines fused: "...As Sonic speed increased through his new shoes, he turned from a normal-colour brown, to blue. The constant high speed fused his some of his spikes too, to the hedgehog you see before you."

I know Sonic the comics aren't canon, but that's my best guess; His high speeds fused his spikes together.

(Does the Eclipse cannon count as one, too?)

No, Jamie-san, there were only three projects, so you would probably be correct.

I guessing you're referring to his "Beta-name" before he was announced, as I think the project in the game it was always "Project Shadow". Sadly I can;'t think of what it is at the moment...it's on the tip of my tongue...

Project Shadow was put on the sidelines because of Gizoid, but I'm not sure if that's the answer.
