Times like this I'm glad the 3DS will be backwards compatible. But what the hell kind of Pokemon is the one that looks like a pair of cogs spinning?

Maaaaan, I hate when they just make robotic Pokemon instead of ones that are, y'know, actually based on animals. Magnezone for example looks a bit like a hub-cap to me.

So these two are out on Friday folks. And after looking up the prices, I've discovered I can use my Amazon voucher to pay for it (truly I'm the biggest cheapskate alive).

Even though they prove to be difficult in the fourth gym, this dude right here is my favourite Gen 5 Pokemon, Emolga. It's an electric flying squirrel, what more do you want?

I really wish I could find a Pokemon who could learn Fly. Got it ages ago and so far, none.

Anyways, my team are as follows:


Samurott - Lv. 38


Rover/Stoutland - Lv. 39 (FYI, I taught this Pokemon Surf. I am not kidding)


Gurdurr - Lv. 39


Blueeye/Basculin - Lv. 38


Carracosta - Lv. 38 (Got this one in its pre-evolved form through a fossil)


Minipete/Emolga - Lv. 42

Beaten the seventh gym and am on my way to catch Zekrom. I should explain that Basculin and Emolga came with their nicknames. They were Pokemon I traded with CPU trainers which by the way, I recommend doing as traded Pokemon get a boost when leveling up.

Beat the Elite Four and N and another required battle that I won't spoil. In short, I saw the credits last night. Now I can travel around the rest of Unova catching Pokemon that I actually recognize.

so do you think its a huge leap forward for poemon or just a few small changes?

I will say that it's possibly the best Pokemon game ever but that's probably just the small changes that do it. It still suffers from some of the same problems the series has had since birth.
