Looks like SEGA have plans for some new games. We know one of them will be the Sonic Fighters re-release, I wonder what the others are. I'm liking the sound of all the new merch too.

Level design seems rather similar to the likes of Super Mario Galaxy. Not that that's a bad thing.

Some information about the game released by SEGA:
Sega recently revealed several new details regarding Sonic: Lost World with a few being exclusive to the Wii U and 3DS versions.
First were details regarding the six new characters called the "Deadly Six." These characters were revealed to be the main bosses of the game. Dr Robotnik is set to put aside his rivalry with Sonic to help end the Deadly Six's threat to the world.
Don't let this temporary partnership trick you into thinking you'll be getting play time as the fat man himself; as in the past few Sonic titles, the hedgehog will be the only playable character. Others like Tails and Knuckles will make appearances, but they will remain on the sidelines. Sonic will also get tweaks to his movement.
Control stick now only controls his default speed which is walking pace Pressing and holding down a trigger button now enables running speed Pressing and holding down both triggers now makes him curl up and build speed. Now can auto-jump and perform Parkour-like moves anytime he encounters a wall or obstacle. These changes were designed to make the platforming aspect of the game more precise than in past Sonic games. They will also address the past issue where touching an objection would stop Sonic's momentum entirely.
Multiplayer was revealed as another feature with Sega developing several competitive-based modes. None of these modes were actually revealed.
In regards to exclusive features for the 3DS and Wii U versions:
3DS version - several exclusive stages (Special and Colors) and fully explorable 3D levels. Wii U version - the return of Wisp powerups, Off-TV Play support, and co-op ability with Player 2 offering touchpad support ala Rayman Origins/New Super Mario Bros U style.

I have to be honest, the Rhythm power just looks silly.
EDIT: We also have a confirmed release date of October 18th. Meaning we'll be getting it before anywhere else in the world.
Although that now makes three games in October that I'll want.

Am I the only one who thinks her voice isn't that bad? I mean, yes, it could be a bit better but I've heard a lot worse.
As far as the game itself goes, I probably won't be getting this straight away. Not because of personal opinions, but because I've got a lot on my plate as far as money goes. It'll be released on Friday and I don't think it matters too much which version you get, although I'm not sure if the cutscenes are on the 3DS version are the same level of quality on Wii U. If someone can confirm that, I'd like to know.

I don't think the cutscenes on the 3DS will be the same quality as on the Wii U, but I guess we'll find out soon. Plus the Wii U version is in HD with 60 FPS.
I preordered the 3DS version a while ago. The Wii U version and the console itself are still way out of my reach.

Well, I may end up getting this game closer to launch than I thought. Now that Watch Dogs has been delayed until next Spring (*quietly sobs*), this means more opportunities.

Seems the 3DS version is being far more well received. Suddenly I'm glad I didn't buy a Wii U.
My initial thoughts on the 3DS version are that it's fantastic. It has all the cutscences, and the level design is really good. The music is amazing, but since it's a Sonic game, that's sort of a given.
Only issue I would mention are the special stages. You have to use the gyro control and move your 3DS around, which is kinda awkward, but maybe that's just me.

They teased this back in December. I was wondering if they'd given up, but they obviously spent a lot of time on it. I downloaded it yesterday, and it's awesome. Sonic looks so cute in Link's tunic.

I really like it as well, though Hyrule Field did bring back memories of Soleanna Forest's Hubworld (*shudder*). There are neat little Zelda references here and there such as the Cuccoo's reacting violently to your attacks or a fairy coming out of a Gossip Stone when your health is low (also try using the Bomb Wisp near gossip stones and see what happens).
