Official Sonic Generations Thread (Spoiler Free Zone)

I've been able to play it. The demo has a couple of problems and bugs but I'm sure the final product will be better.

It's strange. I'm more excited for Classic Sonic in the console version and more excited for Modern Sonic in the 3DS version. And I can't really explain why. Perhaps it'll come to me at some point.

Got Generations today. Just finished the main story, but there's still tons to do. I'm in love with this game, it's absolutely amazing. <3 I still can't get over how completely adorable Classic Sonic looks either.

Can't wait for the 3DS version.
I must have the Collectors Edition though, I hope it comes back in stock soon... *Watches Amazon like a hawk*

Agreed. GameTrailers' review was right. Sonic really hasn't been this good in years. And as good as Modern Sonic's levels are, it's the classic levels that get me hooked in. I'm trying not to complete the game too quickly which... is surprisingly easy, actually. 3DS version will probably a birthday thing for me.

But I hate... HATE the Tails flying mission in Chemical Plant. It controls like a cow stuck in a shopping trolley.

So want to buy the game and SFG has been sittin in my friends list playing it! Its like torture!!

Also for those that have played it, what's your favourite stage so far?
For me it's definitely City Escape. It was my favourite stage in SA2, and the Escape from the City Remix is awesome too.

Strangely enough, Crisis City Act 1 is my favourite stage. I certainly wasn't expecting that.

Also, I've noticed there's a distinct lack of ice levels. They could have at least put Ice Cap Zone in there but I guess that's what DLC is for.

One thing I've found I like doing is putting different music on stages that don't fit it. Try putting Right There, Ride On on the Death Egg Robot Boss Battle and just listen to the hilarity.

I love the music in Crisis City. And agreed on the Ice levels.

I love doing that too, but with the more fitting songs. Speed Highway with Star Light Zone is win. Race to Win on the doppelganger races is good too.

Finally found a copy of the Collectors Edition for sale and snapped it up. It's just been dispatched, cannot wait for it. <3

Phew! Well, it was a hard fought assault but I did it. All of Sonic Generations' achievements are well and truly... well, achieved.

Congrats Thorn. Is S ranking everything difficult?

Not as difficult as defeating the final boss without taking a hit (for the record, you only have to get an S Rank on the main levels for the achievement).

Also, does anyone here want a Super Sonic Avatar Costume? You get a male and female one with the DLC. I have no use for the male one, so if anyone wants it let me know.

Finally got the 'Can't Touch This' Achievement. No-one was kidding when they said it was hard. Just need to get all the Red Star Rings now.

So the 3DS version comes out on Friday. Anyone else looking forward to it?
